Where does those golden rainbows end…
“Frosted Lucky Charms”, I have heard that they are magically delicious! I remember watching those commercials as a kid and always thinking, and yes sometimes even looking for the illusive rainbow and dreaming about what I was going to do with my pot of gold! In Tennessee, where I grew up, there were lots of rainbows (I see a lot in Florida also). I would set out after a good rain and make my way to toward where I thought the base of the rainbow would be. I never could seem to make it; I would feel that I was so close but all that I would ever receive from my search was wet pants from walking through tall wet grass!
Are you a rainbow chaser? Before you answer the question you may want to consider your answer. I may not actually be talking about rainbows. Have you ever thought what you would do if you won a million dollars? Are you looking for an easy way to make some quick cash? Do you dream about what life would be like if you just…? If you answered yes to any of the questions then you maybe a rainbow chaser.
Why is it that we always seem to dream about the possibilities? Don’t get me wrong, I love to dream. But many times we chase the rainbows, hoping to find its end, always striving to find the pot of gold? In the process our lives become fragmented, we start always trying to find the easy way, hoping that our dream will be achieved and that we get the good stuff! Believers have been given the greatest gift possible, and we still want so much more…We have been given forgiveness and eternal life. What more could we possibly hope for?
Our Lord and Savior is always there reaching out with forgiving hands ready to allow us into His presence with uplifted hands and pure hearts! I think I might have figured it out! I really think that I have! The golden rainbow is coming into the presence of God in worship! That is why we were created! To worship the One and only God of the Universe, who was there in the beginning, who is the great I AM, who is the Alpha and Omega the only beginning and the only end! He truly is the “Author and Finisher of our faith.” The rainbows end is at the feet of Jesus…and then true life begins! Cease striving, and know that He is God…(Psalm 46:10) I love you all!<><
