ordinary to extraordinary…

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

I love the team of people that I have the opportunity to lead and serve with here at the POINT. These energetic and creative people make my life and ministry a great joy.

At our last team meeting, I could not help but observe in awe at the talent that God has brought to our church staff. Looking around the table, I witnessed some ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary task. These are people who love the Lord…and want to serve Him to the best of their ability.

It takes a special person to get a gathering off the ground. Church planting is not for everyone…we have had to realign and adjust on the fly over our two and a half year journey several times. God has always seen fit to take us to the next level. We are on our way there now and it is exciting to see the plan finally beginning to gel and the different parts starting to function. These trail blazers at the POINT have put the wheels on the bus and we are off and moving.

It has been a great journey, we have been able to witness God move in a big way here in our community. We have seen impossible expectations met and I have personally experienced the true pioneer spirit as I have watched our team make much happen with very few resources. God has kept us close to Him and because of this we have learned to trust in Him.

This morning as I was praying for my team and I was praying for revival in the North American Church, I read how God’s love, his amazing grace is sufficient. This means that it is strait up exactly enough. I also read that God’s power is perfected in my weakness. In my case, God has a whole lot to work with because I am pretty weak at times. Like Paul, I would rather boast in my weakness…why? Because I want people to see Christ in me. I am using my weakness to show off God’s power. It would be very difficult for any person to claim credit for what has happened here at the POINT. We have just been a receptive crevice in the fullness of God’s time…and man has He blessed.

I love you all!
