I think its about…forgiveness

I believe that one of the biggest problem the 21st century church faces is the lack of forgiveness. To often well intentioned Christians harbor ill feelings toward people in the church that at some point and in some way wronged them. No one likes to be hurt or wronged but as believers we must have an attitude of forgiveness. The sin of un-forgiveness is often over looked and buried in the all the activities that take place in a church that is growing and active. Un-forgiveness is a monster that sneaks around in the shadows, pulling unsuspecting victims into the darkness and filling their lives with anger and hate. Un-forgiveness is a relationship killer. Not only does it kill relationships with people, it kills our relationship with God. God cannot have an active relationship with someone who is in sin. The sin of un-forgiveness has pulled in many unsuspecting Christians and turned their hearts hard. Jesus teaches us in the Bible “Do not judge, so that you wont be judged. For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”. (Matthew 7:1-2) God wants us to forgive! No matter what the other person has done, we must forgive!!! It is vital in your relationship with God! You must also realize that the standard of judgment that you use as well as the measure of judgment that you use will be applied back to you. Jesus is the ultimate Judge, and He will use the same standard that you use to judge you. The Bible also teaches us to “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, jus as God also forgave you in Christ.” Be kind today! Forgive those who you think, may have done wrong to you. Your life will be better for it! I think the old Don Henley song “the heart of the matter” hits the nail on the head. Don sings, “I been trying to get down to the heart of the matter…and I think its about FORGIVENESS”. Forgive those who have wronged you and get on with the plan that God has for you! I love you all<><
