what a difference a day makes…

daily walkEveryday matters…

What a difference a day makes…I remember the day I was rescued from the pits of hell. It was truly a life changing experience for me. My desires changed, my life was different…forever different. For the first time I recognized the price that Jesus paid on that ugly and cruel cross. I had never realized or felt before the separation from a Holy God that truly loved me…

Goodness and Mercy

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23:6

Everyone needs Compassion

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

Is kindness is short supply? Lately I have been amazed at the way people treat one another. From the ongoing political melee that drones incessantly on our televisions to the way that people conduct them selves in traffic. What has happened to compassion?

Oh…the selfishness of people

no…no wait…wait just a minute….

scratch that last phrase…change the title to this blog

Oh the selfishness of me…there, that does it, this would be a much more appropriate title…

Long sleepless nights…

“…but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31 NIV

Strong Statements that can change your life #3

I am continuing this morning with this series on some of the strong statements that our Lord made. I truly believe that these statements can change your life. The next statement is:
“Go and learn what this means ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice’” (Matthew 9:13)

The Gospel

The planet earth is a very complex place and many times what we see and experience tends to be somewhat skewed. In our culture, It is hard to know what is real and what is not. Over time, belief systems have been challenged and often changed as society struggles and many Churches have become dull and ineffective at providing ministry for people who are truly searching.

“Blessed are the merciful, because they will be shown mercy.”
Matthew 5:7 (HCSB)
