I have been in ministry for a long time. While there are benefits for longevity, there are also some pitfalls. I want to address one of the traps. I was reminded early this morning about the need for intense prayer. Let’s get real for a minute. Any believer worth their salt know about and understand the importance of prayer. Many times because of busyness we allow this critical function to fall by the wayside. I want to present to my readers this morning that daily prayer is much more than knowing about and recognizing the need for powerful prayer. Many believe that the demise of our great country began when prayer was taken out of our public school systems. My friend Mike reminded me this morning that the problem started when we took prayer out of the church. We pray, but we have made it part of our program. We often run through it quickly to allow us time to accomplish other things. Friends, we need to hear from God. Hearing from God is vital!

Jordan Callias (Strength for the journey ahead)
Chloe and Gadsden (that they will handle this process well)
Harry and Kristin Hatcher (That God allows them to enjoy many more days with little Truett)

Tonight (4/8) we are going to suspend our normal family life group and spend the hour praying and worshiping. Pastor Bernabe will be joining us also with the ALIVE group in the worship center at 6:30.
The longer I Pastor people who are struggling, the more I realize how people who love the Lord have difficulties coping during the tough times.
I am writing to the membership and friends of the POINT this morning with a major prayer request for our church. If possible, I am asking that each of you share this post with all of your praying friends. I am believing that God is going to do something great in this unique challenge that we are facing as a church plant.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew’s gospel
“Ask and it will be given to you…” I love this powerful statement. Consider the statement for a moment and then think about what you are actually asking for when you make your request of God.
